Judge Gilstrap Keeps Eastern District's Tight Ship Afloat

Law360, Dallas (March 6, 2015, 7:58 PM EST) -- After about 40 months on the bench, U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap on Monday will start his 32nd trial, and as the country’s single busiest patent judge, he says his focus on trials is what keeps his Eastern District of Texas patent docket from getting overwhelmed.

Judge Gilstrap, who was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in December 2011, has had a docket full of patent cases since he took the bench.
