Suits Take Aim At Global Aspartame Market

Law360, New York (April 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Litigation over alleged price-fixing in the lucrative market for artificial sweetener aspartame is about to expand, with two news suits filed and several more looming, according to attorneys involved in the matter.

The most-recent lawsuits, file by popular root beer manufacturer Hank’s Beverage Co. and beverage-flavoring company Nog Inc., hint at suits that could come from much larger companies due to the defendant’s alleged market power.
