Pep Boys Sued For Overtime Pay

Law360, New York (July 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack Inc. is facing a lawsuit in Georgia claiming that the company failed to pay overtime to employees.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia Thursday, says that the company did not pay overtime to managers, assistant managers, service advisers and installers.

The suit also says that Pep Boys' compensation plan for mechanics, technicians and master technicians — who also did not receive overtime pay — violates the Fair Labor Standards Act.
