UAW Seeks To Avoid Delphi Hearing Chaos

Law360 (April 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Fearing a free-for-all, Delphi Corp.'s largest union has asked the court to bar the company's creditors, a hedge fund and a group of bondholders from taking part in next month’s hearing to decide whether the bankrupt auto parts supplier can void its union contracts.

Earlier this week, the United Auto Workers expressed worry that the court proceedings could become “unmanageable” without a participation cap, according to court papers filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.
