FedEx Asks Court To Lift Litigation Stay In ATA Case

Law360, New York (July 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Less than two months after bankrupt ATA Airlines filed a lawsuit accusing FedEx Inc. of yanking the contract that was keeping the carrier afloat, FedEx has asked a judge to allow it to file a lawsuit of its own.

In a motion filed on July 18, FedEx asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana to lift the automatic stay placed on litigation when ATA filed for Chapter 11.
