Judge Gives U.S. Energy More Time To File Plan

Law360, New York (July 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge has given bankrupt U.S. Energy Systems Inc. more time to exclusively file a plan to claw its way out of Chapter 11.

In an order filed Tuesday, Judge Robert D. Drain of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York gave the company until Aug. 22 to file its plan and until Oct. 21 to win acceptance of the plan. No one objected to the extension.
