Jury Tells Honda To Pay $24M In Patent Dispute

Law360 (July 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A jury has awarded an automotive patent-holding company $24 million in its suit against American Honda Motor Co. Inc. for infringement of two patents but found another patent invalid and a fourth patent not infringed.

The verdict — handed down Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California — found two of American Calcar Inc.'s patents to be valid, enforceable and infringing on Honda's 2005-2007 model year vehicles.
