Law360, Wilmington (March 30, 2015, 3:34 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal jury on Monday found that Motorola Mobility LLC infringed an Intellectual Ventures LLC patent, giving the nonpracticing entity its second victory in as many weeks.
At the U.S. district court in Wilmington, a seven-member panel determined that Motorola's Lapdock had infringed U.S. Patent Number 7,120,462, a design for combining a handheld mobile device with a docking station.
The jury, which deliberated for approximately an hour after receiving instructions, also rejected Motorola's contention that the '462 patent should be invalidated for obviousness.
