Epson, Panasonic, Others Settle Copier Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Several companies that make printers have settled a suit filed against them by a subsidiary of Los Angeles patent-holding company Acacia Research Corp. over patents related to technology for copiers and printers.

International Printer Corp. filed the lawsuit August 2007 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against 12 major companies, including Panasonic Corp. of North America and Epson America Inc. The suit alleges infringement of nine different patents.
