Stop & Shop Sues Whole Foods Over The 'Real Deal'

Law360 (July 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Whole Foods Market Inc.'s “real deal” marketing campaign has been called into question by the Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. LLC and Giant of Maryland LLC, which allege that Whole Foods' advertisements infringe their trademarked term.

Affiliated groceries Stop & Shop and Giant filed the suit against Whole Foods Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, alleging that Whole Foods has violated several statutes of federal trademark law.
