Stent Inventor Sues Abbott For Infringement

Law360 (July 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Months after suing Johnson & Johnson and Boston Scientific Corp., inventor W. Henry Wall has now targeted Abbott Laboratories, claiming the company’s cardiovascular stents infringe his patent.

Patent holding company Wall Cardiovascular Technology LLC filed a complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against Abbott and its cardiovascular subsidiary, claiming the company’s Xience V drug eluting stents infringe a patent Wall invented in 1984.
