Barbie-Bratz Juror Booted For Bias

Law360, New York (July 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- MGA Entertainment Inc., which manufactures the popular Bratz dolls, is calling for a mistrial in the high-profile copyright case pitting the company against Barbie manufacturer Mattel Inc., after a juror was booted from the panel for making ethnic slurs against MGA CEO Isaac Larian.

Earlier this month, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ruled in favor of Mattel over the rights to Bratz dolls.
