SEC Hunts Down Sources Of Lehman Rumors

Law360, New York (July 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is reportedly tracing four particular rumors that have swirled around Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. over the past two months and negatively impacted the Wall Street firm's stock price.

The SEC is trying to track down the original source of the rumors, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
