Xerox Sues Sharp For Patent Infringement

Law360, New York (May 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Xerox Corporation filed a lawsuit against rival Sharp Corporation on Wednesday, claiming that Sharp knowingly infringed on nine of Xerox’s patents.

The 14-page complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, is dwarfed by more than 100 pages of attached exhibits comprised of patent forms and schematic drawings detailing the devices at issue.

The patents in dispute include a “Reflector and Light Source Registration Device for a Document Illuminator,” a “Sheet Feed Apparatus” and a “Feature Deselect Control.”
