FERC Approves Midcontinent Express Pipeline

Law360, New York (July 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved the construction and operation of the Midcontinent Express Pipeline, a 506-mile long interstate natural gas pipeline that will transport up to 1.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day to southern and eastern markets.

The $1.27 billion joint venture between Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP and Energy Transfer Partners LP involves new 30-, 36- and 42-inch diameter interstate pipeline, approximately 111,420 horsepower of compression at one booster, four new mainline compressor stations, and facilities located in Oklahoma,...
