Cashier Slaps BP With FLSA Class Action

Law360, New York (July 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former gas station cashier filed a putative class action Monday against BP Products North America Inc., accusing the company of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying overtime for work that regularly went to 48 hours per week.

The proposed class representative, Simedy Cadette of Broward County, Fla., filed the suit against BP Products in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, Miami Division.
