Lawsuit Spurs Removal Of Scrabulous From Facebook

Law360, New York (July 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Facebook users who play the word game Scrabulous played their final triple word scores before the game disappeared from the site Tuesday morning following a lawsuit by Hasbro Inc., the maker of Scrabble.

Hasbro sued the company that developed Scrabulous, RJ Softwares, and its founders, brothers Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla, in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday. The suit alleges that Scrabulous, which is nearly identical to Scrabble, infringes Hasbro's copyrights and trademarks.
