Dana Committee Taps FTI Consulting To Be Financial Adviser

Law360, New York (May 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Following in the footsteps of other fallen automotive giants, the committee of unsecured creditors for beleaguered auto supplier Dana Corp. is seeking court permission to retain restructuring powerhouse FTI Consulting Inc. as its financial adviser.

The committee filed the request on Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan, exactly two months after the auto supplier first filed for bankruptcy.

Dana Corp. itself has already retained another big-name restructuring firm, AlixPartners LLC, to serve as its financial adviser throughout the Chapter 11 proceedings.
