Brussels Snapshot: Hammonds

Law360, New York (May 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Hammonds established a Brussels office in 1990. The firm's lawyers have been keeping their finger on the pulse of the European Commission ever since.

U.K.-based Hammonds, which was founded in 1887, decided to open a branch in Belgium’s capitol after growing tired of having to refer increasing amounts of work to firms with a presence in Brussels.

Hammonds’ Brussels outpost began with three people. Now it employs 15 lawyers, ten of whom specialize in competition work.
