According to the report, California-based Salesforce has a market value of nearly $50 billion and has already been approached by another potential suitor. Reports last week said Salesforce had hired financial advisers to help it field a takeover offer, noting that a Salesforce sale would mark the largest-ever takeover for a software company. Washington-based Microsoft is merely internally evaluating the merits of a Salesforce buy, the report noted, saying that no talks have begun....
