Suit Says Nixing Bus Ad Ran Over Union's Rights

Law360, New York (August 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A health care workers union has sued the city of Fresno, Calif., arguing that the decision not to allow a union advertisement on city buses violated the union's constitutional rights.

Service Employees International Union, United Healthcare Workers-West, filed the lawsuit against Fresno, municipal agency Fresno Area Express, three named individuals and 25 John Does in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on Monday.
