Cablevision: Key Reversal For Digital Content Cos.

Law360, New York (August 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- On August 4, 2008, the United States Court of Appeal for the Second Circuit issued a ruling in Cartoon Network, et al., v. CSC Holdings Inc., and Cablevision Systems Corp. that merits consideration by companies providing digital content services.[1]

Cablevision was sued by The Cartoon Network and other copyright owners for copyright infringement arising from its proposed “Remote Storage” Digital Video Recorder (RS-DVR) system.
