Judge Green-Lights Ampex's Reorganization Plan

Law360, New York (August 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Digital photography company Ampex Corp. is poised to exit Chapter 11 now that a judge has confirmed its reorganization plan.

Judge Arthur J. Gonzalez of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York signed off on the company's modified third amended reorganization plan on July 31.

The company said that it expects to emerge from bankruptcy within a few months of the plan's approval, with a greatly deleveraged capital structure that will give it access to new funding. The funds will be used...
