Report Backs California Sick Leave Law

Law360 (August 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Mandatory paid sick leave would help reduce the spread of the flu, protect the public from diseases carried by sick workers in restaurants and nursing homes, and prevent hunger among low-income employees, according to a recent report.

The report was released last Wednesday by Human Impact Partners, an Oakland, Calif.-based nonprofit that is supporting a bill that would require all California employers to provide paid sick days to their workers.
