Ex-Refco President Gets 10 Years In Prison

Law360, New York (August 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ex-Refco Inc. President Tone N. Grant was reportedly sentenced to a decade in prison on Thursday for his role in a massive fraud scheme that brought down one of the world’s largest commodities brokerages.

After Judge Naomi Buchwald of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York announced the 10-year sentence at Thursday's hearing, attorneys for Grant said they intended to appeal the decision, according to Reuters.
