Judge Admits To Mistakenly Nixing Microsoft Patent Suit

Law360, New York (May 12, 2015, 6:48 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge has revived part of an antivirus patent suit against Microsoft Corp. by a Korean company, admitting that she dismissed the entire case by mistake last month after only resolving some of the claims.

In a decision Friday, Judge Marsha Pechman of the Western District of Washington granted plaintiff CAP Co.'s motion for reconsideration of her April 6 order dismissing its entire infringement suit against Microsoft with prejudice.
