Law360 (August 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Asylum Research Corp. and Veeco Instruments Inc. have agreed to settle all pending claims in an almost five-year dispute over patents relating to atomic force microscopes produced by the two companies, with Asylum conceding that Veeco's patents-at-issue are valid and agreeing to pay a licensing fee.
The manufacturers announced the settlement Monday of claims initially filed by Veeco in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
