Boiler Maker Could See $20M Asbestos Verdict Cut To $6M

Law360, New York (May 19, 2015, 9:30 PM EDT) -- A New York state court has set aside a $20 million asbestos injury verdict against industrial boiler manufacturer Burnham LLC and in favor of a now-deceased steamfitter, finding the amount excessive for pain and suffering, and ordering a new trial on damages if his estate does not agree to a reduced $6 million award.
