Bio-Rad's License Claims False: DuPont

Law360 (May 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Global chemicals giant E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co. has filed a patent and trademark infringement lawsuit against rival research and diagnostics firm Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc., accusing the company of falsely claiming a license to DuPont’s IP.

In the complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, DuPont accused Bio-Rad of infringing a single patent for technology used in assays based on polymerase chain reactions (PCR).
