Ariz. Appellate Court OKs Trucker Class

Law360, New York (August 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Trucking giant Swift Transportation Company Inc. must contend with a class of drivers claiming that unfair mileage calculations bilked them out of wages, an Arizona appellate court has ruled.

Arizona's Court of Appeals, Division One reversed a lower court's ruling that denied the truckers class certification. Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, the law firm representing the plaintiffs, announced the July 31 decision on Monday.
