ITC Deals Blow To SiRF In GPS War

Law360 (August 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After months of back and forth between the tech companies, the U.S. International Trade Commission has tentatively found SiRF Technology Holdings Inc. guilty of infringing six GPS satellite patents owned by a unit of Broadcom Corp.

On Friday, the ITC issued the initial determination in favor of Global Locate Inc., a Broadcom subsidiary, with the commission's final determination not due till the end of the year.
