No Case For KLA Against Fujitsu In DRAM Saga: Court

Law360, New York (August 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed KLA-Tencor Corp.’s bid to invalidate a method patent Fujitsu Ltd. has asserted against rival chip maker Nanya Technology Corp., ruling that no controversy exists between device manufacturer KLA and patent holder Fujitsu.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed KLA’s motion for declaratory judgment for lack of jurisdiction in an infringement war raging between Fujitsu and Nanya over patents related to dynamic random access memory technology.
