Judge Lets Energy Interests Join Polar Bear Dispute

Law360, New York (August 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has allowed a pair of trade groups representing the Alaskan oil and gas industry to intervene in a lawsuit over the polar bear’s protected status.

On Wednesday, Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted in part the groups' requests to intervene.
