Professor's Suit Against NYU Survives Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (August 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal court in Manhattan has rejected New York University's bid to pare down the allegations leveled in a gender discrimination suit brought by an accounting professor who claimed she was repeatedly propositioned for sex by a senior faculty member while being considered for tenure.

U.S. District Judge Robert L. Carter signed off on an opinion and order Thursday denying NYU's May 3 motion to dismiss.
