Ex-CEO's Assets Frozen In Universal Express Case

Law360, New York (August 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district court has approved an order freezing the assets of Richard Altomare, the former CEO of luggage delivery company Universal Express Inc.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which has long been battling the former CEO, asked the court to impose the freeze last month in order to block Altomare from alienating any of his remaining assets. Altomare consented to the asset freeze, according to an order issued Friday by Judge Gerard Lynch of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York....
