Documents Shed Light On Duke Energy Class Action

Law360, New York (August 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Allegations that Duke Energy Corp. engaged in anti-competitive practices have gained steam in recent days as a former employee's wrongful termination case was settled and documents that could impact an antitrust class action were made public.

John Deeds, the former employee who claims he was fired by Duke Energy after raising concerns over millions in payments to companies operating in Southern Ohio, settled his case just before Monday's trial date. The terms of the settlement weren't made public.
