CME Group Faces Patent Suit Over Electronic Trading

Law360, New York (August 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A securities information directory has filed suit against CME Group Inc. and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. for allegedly infringing two patents for electronic trading.

In a suit filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, 5th Market Inc. accuses CME of infringing two patents covering an automated system for conditional order transactions in securities markets.
