Carpenter Tech. Liable For $11M In EPA Suit: Court

Law360, New York (August 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Carpenter Technologies Corp. must pay $10.9 million of $13.7 million in environmental cleanup costs incurred by Ford Motor Co. and four other plaintiffs, in part because Carpenter dealt with a known polluter and failed to cooperate with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, a judge said Monday.
