Tesco Sues Rivals Over Oil Drilling Tool Patent

Law360, New York (August 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Canadian oil drilling company Tesco Corp. has hit several competitors with a patent infringement suit, claiming that the companies infringed on its patent for a tool that allows drillers to run casing into oil wells.

Tesco filed the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas against Weatherford International Inc., National Oilwell Vargo LP, Offshore Energy Services Inc. and Frank's Casing Crew and Rental Tools Inc.
