Crane Composites To Pay EPA, Ill. $1M For Emissions

Law360, New York (August 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Fiberglass manufacturer Crane Composites Inc. has agreed to pay $1 million and overhaul its emissions control system by November after facing a civil action from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the state of Illinois over alleged violations of the Clean Air Act and state laws.

The agreement has been lodged in the Federal Register and is pending approval by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where the EPA simultaneously filed a civil complaint against Crane on Wednesday.
