Avid Seeks To Drop Latest Suit Over Pet ID Chips

Law360, New York (August 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a lawsuit between makers of animal identification chips, defendant Avid Identification Systems Corp. has filed a motion to dismiss, alleging that the plaintiffs lost their chance to assert the patent fraud and antitrust claims made in the complaint when a judge denied their motion to add the same claims to an earlier suit.
