12 States Sue EPA Over Oil Refinery Emissions

Law360, New York (August 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New York is leading a coalition of states in a lawsuit filed Monday that aims to force the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to control oil refinery emissions of greenhouse gases.

Eleven states as well as the District of Columbia and the City of New York are joining New York in accusing the EPA of violating the Clean Air Act, New York Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo said Monday.
