Ipex Sues Adobe, Others Over Proofing Patent

Law360 (August 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ipex LLC has sued six companies, including software maker Adobe Systems Inc. and online publisher West Publishing Corp., for allegedly infringing a patent covering electronic proofing systems.

The complaint, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accuses Adobe, West, Xythos Software Inc., Active Innovations Inc., Open Text Inc. and DocsCorp LLC of infringing U.S. Patent Number 6,918,082, titled “Electronic document proofing system.”
