Judge Orders EPA To Turn Over Docs In Pesticide Suit

Law360, New York (August 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has ordered the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to turn over all documents it used in a 2001 decision to re-register chlorpyrifos, a pesticide several union and environmental groups claim could seriously harm farm workers.

In an order issued Tuesday, Judge Jeremy Fogel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said the EPA must produce internal correspondence, memoranda and drafts, including information that was contrary to the agency's decision to keep chlorpyrifos on the market.
