Supplement Tycoon Sentenced To 25 Years

Law360, New York (August 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The head of the company that produces Enzyte “male enhancement” pills advertised on late-night television was sentenced on Wednesday to 25 years in prison and ordered to forfeit over $500 million in a case involving deceptive advertising, money laundering and mail fraud.

Judge S. Arthur Spiegel of U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio imposed the sentence six months after Steve Warshak, founder of Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, was convicted by a jury on 93 counts of defrauding customers and laundering profits from the company....
