Last-Minute Funding Obviates Coal Bed Methane Suit

Law360, New York (August 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Legal counsel for a group of environmental organizations agreed in federal court Thursday to abandon their lawsuit over the failure of the U.S. Department of the Interior to conduct a study on the effects of coal bed methane production after the government reached an eleventh-hour funding agreement to carry out the research.
