Court Rejects Knee Implant Patent Claim Construction

Law360, New York (September 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has dealt Howmedica Osteonics Corp. a win in a long-running patent dispute between rival orthopedic implant makers over knee implants, vacating a stipulated judgment of noninfringement because of flaws in the lower court's claim construction.
