Court Grants Final Approval Of TJX Settlement

Law360 (September 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Retail giant TJX Cos. Inc. has secured final court approval for a class action settlement with consumers over the theft of millions of credit and debit card numbers, a scandal that has been called the largest retail security breach in U.S. history.

Judge William G. Young of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts gave final approval to the consumer class action settlement Tuesday, with only two exceptions.
