Sempra To Settle Gas Futures Charges For $175K

Law360, New York (September 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced Thursday that Sempra Energy Trading LLC would pay $175,000 to settle charges of natural gas futures trading violations.

According to a statement from the CFTC, Sempra Energy Trading failed to properly and accurately prepare natural gas futures trading cards between August and November 2004. The trading cards were used to process trades that were made after the contract was no longer trading.
