Creditor Objects To Home Interiors Legal Fees

Law360, New York (September 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Investment firm Highland Capital Management LP, a lender entwined in Home Interiors & Gifts Inc.'s Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, has filed a notice of objection to the amount of fees the debtor's lawyers are trying to collect.

In the notice, filed Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, Highland Capital said that Hunton & Williams LLP's request for $546,090.28 in legal fees for the month of July exceeds the $400,000 monthly cap approved for all of the professionals employed by the...
